Venetian Bridges of Cyprus

By Olive - Posted on 26 September 2007

We went for a day out not expecting much, having packed our lunch we left early afternoon and set for the hills of Troodos without really any gameplan. We then remembered someone praisng Venetian bridges, so we said, "let's go!".
After the last leg of a drive through the Troodos mountains and having gasped upon its vallies, we got to our destination and ....

We stood with awe when we were hit in the face by the majestic, 5 century old Ventian bridge - still standing in fit-shape form.
We took off our footwear and dipped our feet in the most cool and refreshing water you can imagine of the trickling stream flowing into the reservoir ahead.
No photoprapher can ever do justice to what we saw that day and what stands there in all its glory.
