Troodos Mountains - Simply Majestic

Troodos is the mountain range of Cyprus at about hour’s drive from both Limassol and Nicosia, with highest peak being Mt Olumpus at 1,952 mtrs.

Picturesque Troodos mountain range with unspoilt natural beauty with Pine, Cypress and Apple trees is spread across most of western Cyprus. In winter time ski lovers head for the Troodos ski centre while in summer several picnic areas and treks provide respite from heat on the plains.

There are so many places to visit in the Troodos range that its simply impossible to list a few. Places like Kakopetria, Platers, Kaldonia falls, Prodomos – to name a few- all leave memorable experiences of their own and not to forget the vinyards.

UNESCO list of World Heritage lists 9 Beyzantine Churches and one monastery from this area alone. Kykkos monastery is the most famous and richest one in Cyprus.
