Limassol - The Tourist Destination

Limassol is the second largest town on the south coast of Cyprus with magnificent coastline of 10 miles laden with sandy beaches. Some also call it the commercial capital of Cyprus. In the last two years the town has seen beautification of the beaches and creation of walkways, cycling tracks and green belts along the coastline.

Kourion beach, Lady’s Mile beach and Governer's beach just outside Limassol are places where you can walk for hours and swim in turquoise blue waters all day. Island's biggest dams, Kouris and Germasogia, are also on the outskirts of Limassol.

Located between two ancient kingdoms of Amathous and Kourion, Limassol is the most popular tourist resort in Cyprus with world class luxury hotels and apartments. It is famous for its annual carnival parade and the wine festival.

Crowded pubs, restaurants and café all over the ‘tourist area’ make Limassol a very lively place. There are fish and Greek food taverns playing live music almost every evening. Besides the number of ancient monuments & museums in and around Limassol, the most beautiful part is walks along the sea side. There is distinct character to each stretch of the walkways and the very beautiful promenade near the old port.

Don’t forget to sip a frappe or the traditional Cyprus coffee on one of beach-side cafes after a swim.
