According to a recent press release of Statistical Service of Cyprus the population in government controlled area is estimated to be 796,900 as at the end of 2008.

Limassol : 228,900

Larnaca : 133,300

Paphos : 77,000

Famagusta: 44,300

Overall Urban population: 70%
